Pricing & Proposals

Quote with confidence

How to price event work profitably, structure deposits and escrow, and write proposals that convert enquiries into signed bookings.

4 lessons · 55 min · intermediate

Lesson 1 · 12 min

Know your true cost

Price from the numbers, not the nerves.

List every cost per event: materials, crew, transport, overhead and your own time. Add your target margin. Anything below that number is not a discount, it is a loss you are funding.

Lesson 2 · 13 min

Design your packages

Three tiers, one obvious choice.

Offer a lean tier, a recommended tier and a premium tier. Make the middle option the one you most want to sell, and let the premium tier make it look reasonable.

Lesson 3 · 14 min

Deposits and escrow

Protect both sides of the deal.

Take a deposit before work begins and keep the balance in escrow until the event is delivered. Clients feel safe, you stop chasing payments, and every step is recorded against the booking.

Lesson 4 · 16 min

Close the proposal

Make saying yes effortless.

Summarise the brief, show the price with what is included and excluded, state the deposit and dates, and end with one clear action and an expiry so the decision does not drift.
